Mittwoch, 20.12.2017 Abschied

Wir danken allen Gastfamilien auf diesem Weg für die Offenheit und Ihre Unkompliziertheit im Umgang mit den Gästen aus Australien. Bei unseren Gästen bedanken wir uns für euren Besuch und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen im Oktober 2018. Wir wünschen allen Beteiligten ein gesegnetes und fröhliches Weihnachtsfest.

Montag, 18.12.2017 Turnier in der Indoorfußballhalle SoccercenTor

Today we had a normal schoolday. First we had a German lesson 

and watched a movie called „Die Physiker“. It is the movie to the book, which we read at school. After the break, it was time for „Pädagogik“ . Here we worked out the main aspects about what one can reach whith education. Than we had religion. We talked about the differences between some religions. Last but not least, we had math. We were allowed to ask as many questions as we want, because tomorrow we are going to write a classtest.

After these six lessons, the main program started. With the bus we 

drove to the „soccercentor“ where we had a soccer tournament. My team did not win a match at all but we all had fun. The first three teams won some sweets and they shared them with us. At the evening we got some Chinese food. It was very delicious.

Heute sind wir zur Schule gegangen. Wir  haben Deutsch in der ersten Stunde gehabt. Wir haben einen Film gesehen. Es war sehr interessant. Später haben wir Pädagogik gehabt. Es war lustig aber ich habe es  nicht verstanden. Später haben wir Religion gehabt. Nach der Schule haben wir Fußball gespielt. Es hat Spaß gemacht aber ich bin nicht gut im Fußball.

Sonntag, 17.12.2017 Ein Tag in den Gastfamilien

Der heutige Sonntag steht den Gastfamilien zur freien Verfügung. Wir wünschen allen unseren Gastschülern und deutschen Familien einen schönen dritten Advent.

Today we slept very long until 11 o’clock. The whole day we 

took a break and we chilled a little bit. In the afternoon Kieran 

and my family went to Leverkusen down town. We bought 

some presents. After shopping we ate different things. Kieran 

ate his favourite, Currywurst. My family and I ate sweet 

things like crepe or poffertjes. The day ended with some 

games between Kieran and me in which we had much fun.

Am Samstag wir haben nicht viel gemacht. Ich wachte auf 12 Uhr und habe Mittagessen gegessen. Später, wir sind die Weihnachtsmarkt gehen. Es war sehr anders als bei anderen Weihnachtsmärkte. Danach, wir sind im ein Einkaufszentrum gehen, und ich habe Geschenkte gekauft für meine Freund. Für abendessen, ich habe Currywurst gegessen und Marvin hat Poffertjes  gegessen. Es war sehr lecker.

Samstag, 16.12.2017 Ein Tag in den Gastfamilien

Der heutige Samstag steht den Gastfamilien zur freien Verfügung. Wir wünschen allen unseren Gastschülern und deutschen Familien einen erlebnisreichen Tag.

Today we were in the Phantasialand. We got up at 9:30 am and had breakfast. Then we met Karla and Jason at 10:45 am and drove to the train station. The drive was quite short. At 12:00 am we arrived in Phantasialand and rode many rollercoasters. First we rode the slower ones and then we built up to the new rollercoaster, Taron. It was very fast.

In the evening we ate Crepes, soup and drank punch without alcohol. Also, in the evening there was supposed to be a big firework display but it was cancelled because it was raining heavily. Then we drove home, played darts and ate Pizza for dinner. At 11:00pm, Karla and Jason drove home and we went to bed.

Heute waren wir im Phantasialand. Wir sind um 9:30 Uhr aufgestanden. Dann haben wir um 10:45 Uhr Karla und Jason getroffen und sind zum Bahnhof gefahren. Die Fahrt war ziemlich kurz. Um 12:00 Uhr kamen wir im Phantasialand an und wir fuhren viele Achterbahnen. Am Anfang  fuhren wir die Langsamen und steigerten uns zu den Schnellen. Die neue Achterbahn Taron war sehr schnell.

Am Abend aßen wir Crepes, Suppe und tranken Fruchtpunsch ohne Alkohol. Am Abend war ein großes Feuerwerk geplant aber es wurde abgesagt, weil es zu stark regnete. Dann fuhren wir nach Hause, spielten Dart und aßen Pizza zum Abendessen. Um 11:00 Uhr fuhren Karla und Jason nach Hause und wir sind schlafen gegangen.

Freitag, 15.12.2017 Die Fußballnacht der SV - "Aussie-German Team"

Am heutigen Freitagabend fand die alljährliche Fußballnacht am Freiherr-vom-Stein Gymnasium statt. Die Veranstaltung wurde von der SV organisiert und die australischen Gastschüler und deutschen Gastbrüder und Gastschwestern nahmen mit zwei Teams teil.

Today we went to school by bike. All in all we had six lessons. At 13:35 we went back home.There we relaxed, ate and walked the dog. At 17 o’clock we went to the „Fußballnacht“

In the gym of the school, but the tournament for the „Oberstufe“ started at 19 o’Clock.We had two mixed teams with Australian and German exchange students.The two teams were eliminated at group stage. All in all it could be said that the „Fußballnacht“ was very nice experience for all students.

Wir sind  um 7 Uhr aufgestanden und haben leckere Salamibrötchen gegessen. Dann sind wir mit dem Rad zur Schule gefahren. Unser erstes Fach war Religion. Der Lehrer war

sehr cool und wir haben über die Evolution des Menschen geredet. Dann kam Geschichte und dort habe ich nicht viel verstanden. Daraufhin sind wir in die Sporthallen gegangen und haben dort jüngeren Schülern über das Austauschprogramm berichtet. Dann haben wir Deutsch gelernt. Die Fußballnacht hat viel Spaß gemacht. Wir haben schnell  verloren, obwohl Mr.Sloan uns angefeuert hat. Nun freuen wir uns darauf endlich ausschlafen zu können.

Mittwoch, 13.12.2017 --- Deutsches Fußballmuseum in Dortmund und Bayer04 gegen Werder Bremen

 Die ersten Klasse war English. Die Klasse sollten ein Arbeitsblatt vollständigen. Die Aufgabe bestand darin, aus dem Deutschen ins Englische zu übersetzen.Die nächster Klasse war Sport. Seung und ich hatten Badminton gespielt. Wir hatten zwei Spiele gespielt. Der Rest der Klasse hatte einen Test.Um zwei Uhr besuchten wir das Fußballballmuseum in Dortmund  Es war sehr interessant. Wir sind nach Leverkusen zurückgekehrt, um das Fußballspiel zu sehen. Die Heimmannschaft, Bayer Leverkusen hatten gewonnen, 1:0.

 After we finished our lessons today, we went to the train station Leverkusen Mitte to take the train to Dortmund. 
As we got out of the train we had the possibility to buy some food because we hadnt the time to eat at school. 
After lunch, we went to the German Football Museum that was located across from the trainstation. The museum was about the history of German football, the ups and downs of the national football team and especially the world cup in year 2014, where Germany won in the finals against Argentina with 1:0. When we finished the tour we had the time to go to the Christmas Market in Dortmund.We had to take the train back to Leverkusen and we arrived at 7:00pm.
The last point of our program was the Football game Leverkusen vs. Werder Bremen. It was fun but also very cold.Leverkusen won with 1:0 and our day endet at 10:15 pm. ( Alexandros Geisler)

Weihnachtliche Stimmung am Ende des Spiels

Heute haben wir das Deutsche Fußball-Museum in Dortmund besucht. Auf der Fahrt haben wir Bus und Bahn genutzt. Der Höhepunkt des Tages war der Besuch des Bundesliga-Spiels am Abend in Leverkusen. Bayer 04 Leverkusen hat gegen Werder Bremen 1:0 gewonnen. Später mussten wir uns der Herausforderung stellen, durch Starkregen zurück zum Haus der Gastgeberfamilie zu kommen…

Today we visited the German Football Museum in Dortmund. To get there we took bus and train connections. The highlight was the Bundesliga game we joined in the evening in Leverkusen. Bayer 04 Leverkusen did win against Bremen 1:0. Later, the challenge was to get through heavy rain back home to the host families…

Hari, do you visit soccer stadiums often in Melbourne?

I’ve been to one soccer match in Melbourne. But Australian Football and Rugby are more popular in our country.

What did you like with the game in the BayArena?

I liked the atmosphere a lot. People seem to be very engaged with the players There was also a nice happening when the stadium was put into dark and we got lights to illuminate.

You live in a family. What is different with German households compared to Australia?

In Australia, there is less food throughout the day, e.g. we do not sit together for breakfast or have a warm meal in school for lunch, but we typically have a more heavy dinner. As the school starts earlier here, we need to get up pretty early….  On the other hand, it is very convenient that most pupils live very close by. In Melbourne, often there is a long way from the suburbs to school.  

Today you visited the German football museum. What were your impressions?

Amazing how popular football is in Germany, everybody seems to play it. Also, it is taken very seriously. Germany has had many successes over the last decades and they seem to be very proud about that.
